- Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
- Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
- Find numbers that are more or less than a given number.
- 1 more, and 10 less express a relationship between 2 numbers.
Tuesday (03/09):
- Lesson: 9-2 Make numbers on a hundred chart.
- Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
- Use a hundred chart to find 1 more, 1 less, and 10 more, 10 less.
- Place-value relationships can be represented on a hundred chart.
- Addition & Subtraction Flash Cards game. Two students play together.

- Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
- Addition & Subtraction Flash Cards game. Two students play together.
- Use place-value blocks to compare 2 two-digit numbers.
- For 2 two-digit numbers, the number with more tens is greater. If the 2 numbers have an equal number of tens, then the number with more ones is greater.
Thursday (03/11):
- Lesson: 9-4 Compare numbers with symbols.
- Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
- Compare two numbers using a greater, a less than, or an equal to sign.
- For 2 two-digit numbers, the number with more tens is greater. If the 2 numbers have an equal number of tens, then the number with more ones is greater.
